Evil Queen attire: Avocado Ce Soir HCT set (60J & Small)

As you must know, Avocado is one of my favorite brands so far. Their designs get better and better through the years and I must say, the fit too. I have been lucky enough to review about a dozen of their sets and the quality never disappoints me. The material is made to last but yet looks so delicate and precious. The embroidery can really be breathtaking (cf. my Valentina review ) and the construction is often very interesting (cf. Chamade review). The attention to detail is beautiful and I think the price point is fair.
Something I also like is that you can always recognize the romantic classic style of the designer and yet, none of those pieces seems to be outdated. In fact, Avocado seems to grow and evolve with the trends without loosing its particular touch.

DSC088635050** I received this set free of charge for the purpose of a review, all opinions and thoughts are my own.**

Avocado’s new collection Intimacy nº2 didn’t fail to blow me away.  Indeed, it completely owns the concept of layering and strappy and as usual you can find those amazing gore detailing which stay away from the traditional bows… The way the designer played with shadows and light, sheer and opaque is incredible. So when she offered me to try a set from her new collection I had a very hard time to choose.

The Ce soir set really caught my attention as it looks like a very evil queen attire. Hehe. 🙂
I also love that they used the same lace as they did for the Isadora to create a very different look. It is simple yet complex, monochromatic, sophisticated. It is body jewelry to me. This set would make any woman look strong and powerful.

About the construction, Ce Soir is a three-part balconnet, layered at the top with what I would call a collar of straps that can be attached around the neck.
I received this bra in a 60J (I own the Isadora NF in a 60K, so Ce Soir definitely runs bigger) and it fits me beautifully. It seems that this shape is the best for me. I mean, I own several Avocado bras but this one fits like it was made to my measurements.

The sheer part of the cup is stretchy which makes it perfect for asymmetric breasts like mine. Depending on the way I stand you might see some wrinkles but I swear the fit is spot on. ❤ I am impressed also by the way it feels. Seriously, I could wear this bra everyday. The wires are very narrow, definitely narrower than any of my other Avocado bras. I also love the narrow gore and its height is great for my breasts. It doesn’t hurt and tacks properly against my sternum.

I love the construction of the cups too! As you can see, although it is a three-part balconette, it is not exactly the traditional pattern. If you remember my HCT Caprice review, it seems to be the version 7.0 of this pattern. So I’d say it is an hybrid between an halfcup and a balconette  pattern in the best way possible. The cup are closed at the top compared to the Caprice HCT, I also must say it feels more comfortable around the armpits. The wide and fully-adjustable straps are stable on my shoulders. There are narrow set which I really like. An other detail, that shouldn’t be ignored is the string around the neck, which is ended by little metallic caps that prevent it from getting damage, and give a more finished and fancy look.

I received the hipster briefs in a Small and it fits me well! I am going to sound redundant but I love Avocado’s briefs: they are always easy and pleasant to wear. They use a very soft fabric for the back which is also stretchy and usually cut to provide coverage without giving visible panty lines under jeans. I personally like hipster briefs because they are flattering and comfy at the same time. Plus they have the perfect rise to be worn with every type of clothes.

These briefs have a fun cut out at the back that reminds quite well of the strappy design of the bra although they are more discreet. Here the string isn’t adjustable but I like the coordination with the bra. I have seen on the website that Avocado also did a high waisted brief and a classic brief as coordinates for this bra. I would like to see how different they are from the hipster, especially the high waisted one! If one of you guys buy it, let me know how it looks! 😀

I must say this set is a win. I think it definitely worth its price and makes me want more of Avocado lingerie. I love the spirit of the brand. If you are in between a C and HH UK cup, I highly recommend to give it a try!

Also, if you enjoy Ce Soir as much as I do, stay tuned! I might have some exciting news about this set for my readers in the next few days! ❤

Sending love and sunny kisses,

Princess lingerie by Avocado: Caprice HCT & RV reviews

White has never been my favorite color. I mean, it always reminded me of wedding and purity. Which are probably nice stuff but sounds definitely too serious for me. However last summer, I was in a weird period of changes and I decided to get new colors in my drawers since it is filled at 80% with black pieces. You probably don’t realize it because most of the lingerie samples I receive are colored but when I buy things for myself, most of the time I go for the black option. It always makes me feel more comfortable. Also, even if that doesn’t influence my choice, it makes lingerie laundry super easy.

[These pieces have been sent to me, free of charge for the purpose of a review, this doesn’t affect my opinions.]DSC08915n.jpg
However when I saw the new Caprice colorway, I particularly liked the delicacy of the lace, the very discreet transparency of the fabrics and maybe the fact that it looked nothing like what I am used to. It is princess lingerie.

While I love lingerie that makes me feel like a queen, I have never seen myself as a princess. I mean, I am not a cute, girly person. I just started feeling feminine like 3 years ago. I haven’t had a pink period. I don’t think the 5 years old Wen was girly either. So I wanted to try something different. And overall, I like it!

I received the bras in a 60L and the panty in a Medium.

I have to say, that the difference between this set and the other Avocado sets I tried is big but I am starting to figure out some things which might help you to find your size.
First, I always needed a 60L in the RV bras I tried (except the Lorca that runs really big because of the stretchy lace at the top of the cup). And I think  all the other cuts are deeper so it might be more or less possible to size down compare to the RV cut. Also, this range is made from non stretchy fabrics. Take this in consideration if you consider sizing down.

Caprice RV is a 3 part balconnet which provides almost a full coverage. I thought I would prefer the HCT cut since I love the shape half cup bras give to the breasts, but finally I think the RV is my favorite fit wise. The lovely gold embroidery looks like jewels on the skin, thanks to the transparent mesh. Also the full coverage is beautifully balanced by this transparency. I am surprised by how much I like it.

The pleats alongside the lace makes the ensemble looks just neat while the embroidery gives a luxurious touch.

The gore is so amazingly narrow and tacks without hurting me. It is one of the rare Avocado set I have seen with a bow on the gore, but I think this time it is just appropriate considering the very feminine design.
As usual, the straps are not left behind and feature the same stripes than the lower part of the cups. They are very wide and comfortable.

The cups are definitely deep, although the wires are very very wide. My roots are too narrow and high situated for these wires to follow perfectly my inframmary fold. Note that I don’t have particularly narrow roots, my breasts are rather wide, which is a plus in that case, since I still fill the bra except a space on the side. This doesn’t make it bad for me, it is more an aesthetic detail since the wires are not annoying otherwise.
This bras feels very secure and the band sits nicely. The fabric used for the band and back of the brief is super soft and comfy. I have got this bra in August and I have to warn you that sizing up in the band (or at least, don’t size down like me) should be more comfortable. I wear it comfortably now but at the beginning I really found it to be tight.

The HCT cut is very different either in the construction, fit or sizing.
I admit that I have been wondering if a 60K would fit me since I got the bra, but have also been scared that it would be too small considering how I filled the bottom of the cup. However, I have lost weight since this summer and I think I could probably fit in a size smaller. A 60K would probably fit and give me some cleavage.
I think this cut is even to full on top friendly while the RV cut, more closed at the top is very full on bottom and side friendly.

In this size, the cups do cover my breast a lot more than the Chamade HC and even more than the Caprice RV cut. It might be a question of sizing but I think even a size smaller would provide a lot of coverage compared to an usual half cup bra.
I consider this bra as a different style. It is beautiful and I think, is a good alternative for those who don’t like the sheerness of the RV cut. (Younger I used to hate this type of designs that show half of the nipples in diagonal… Well, I was a very modest-padded- bras kind of gal)
The striped part is much more present here and the embroidery gives a more subtle jewellery effect. I like that. I really like that it looks more like a detail than a big part of the cup construction, making the bra look like a 2-parts cup while it does have 3-parts.

Once again, you can see the very narrow gore, which is rather high ( around 0.8cm higher than the RV gore) and tacks firmly. When I first put it on in the morning everything is ok but, I think because of its height, I feel it too much for my taste, through the day. That said, it is amazingly narrow and doesn’t bother my close set breasts.
The edge of the cup is a little bit too close from my armpit. I think this issue would be solved with a smaller size, though. I am a little bit annoyed that I didn’t send it back with the 1st HC which was too big, but my breasts were fuller this summer, so I had big doubts about the fact that one size smaller would fit. However, those facts don’t prevent me from wearing it and I still find it to be a very elegant bra.

I think I love the shape it gives more than the RV shape. While the RV gives a rounded but pretty natural shape, the HCT should be very appreciate among ladies who love a very uplift, and literally round shape for their breasts.
I don’t think I own anything so round that is not padded. Maybe the Tutti Rouge Nichole but I am not even sure. Anyway, I love it. It is a good alternative to padded bras when you just need their shape.
I know the white colorway really looks like bridal lingerie but on me, I just don’t see it that way. However, I think the black colorway is amazing and would be a better everyday bra.

Can we talk about this brief? Well, I think it is the first bikini brief I have seen that actually wear its name properly. I just feel like some brand or stores just call “bikini” whatever brief which doesn’t (but sometimes does) provide a lot of butt coverage.
This panty was initially sent to me in a size Small which was too small. The Medium is definitely better but it is so low rise that it barely sits on my hips. I wouldn’t go for a Large because I think the front and back part does have enough fabric but my pelvis is apparently too narrow for the front part to fit me perfectly. I think the full brief would fit me better. However the design, is super cute. I mean, seriously, the embroidery on the side is lovely, I wish it could be stretchy and sit higher but I love the design of the brief itself. Also the back of the brief feels amazingly soft and is actually stretchy enough to be butt friendly.

So I decided to end this post with this (not very professional) montage, in order to show you the difference between these bras and also, give you a close up of its delicate details.
I think these colors would go especially well with brown skin gals but as you can see on Avocado pictures, it looks equally good on lighter skin tones.

What do you think of white lingerie? Is it something that you would only reserve for special occasion?

Hope winter is not too tough on you, guys! Seriously, I am turning into a bear in hibernation…

Avocado Isadora RV & NF reviews

Well, Christmas is already gone. I wish it lasted longer. I love it. I watched Nightmare before Christmas (maybe for the 15th time…) and a Disney movie in English for the first time (it’s funny in a totally different way when you are not a kid). I also ate plenty of things which were only related by my love for them.
What did you do for Christmas? Hope you enjoyed it. I know it is not fun for everyone… Every year for like 5 years I have been super stressed out because I never know where I am going to spend it and with who. For those who know this feeling, I hope this one was a happy lucky Christmas for you too.

[These pieces have been gifted to me for the purpose of a review. As usual, all opinions are my owns.]
I thought a review of Avocado Isadora range was perfect for the holidays season. After all this range has it all: the huge bows, the red and silver touches, the discreet flowers stems and the classy lace which seems to be made for special occasion. I wouldn’t mind having a top made from this lace. Isadora is cute, modern, sophisticated.

After my review of the Valentina set (65K/Small) , Anna, Avocado’s designer noticed that I might fit in a smaller size in the NF cut and was kind enough to offer to send me the Isadora in a 60K. Apart from the fact that I was thrilled with the idea of trying this gorgeous collection, I also realized that it was a great idea to size down in this style.
To be honest, I think my Avocado size is somewhere in between a 60K and 60L/65K depending on the style. I would love to try the Valentina in a size 60K to see if the fit and shape would change a lot.
Based on my experience I think  Isadora’s construction is a little bit different. It could be a question of sizing but I think these bras works differently.

First, because of the fabrics, Valentina is definitely more forgiving for upper fullness than Isadora. If you are full on top, don’t size down in the Isadora because the top of the cup has no stretch.
Second, the shapes they give to the breasts are a little bit different. They both give a square décolleté, but the Valentina (and Annick in Love) make the breasts look more front and projected, while Isadora NF seems to separate more my boobs from each other. Because of that I prefer not wearing it under loose tops but it looks nice under more adjusted clothes.
I think this bra works beautifully for my shape. It gives projection and discreet uplift. The lace at the bottom of the cup has some stretch. Also the gore is narrow and relatively low, which I like. The straps are kind of wide situated but the cups edges do not bother my armpits and the straps don’t fall off my arms so I am pretty happy with them. As often, the straps feature the same lace as the lower part of the cup.

Actually, this lace is a pleasure to wear, both on the bra and on the brief! It is soft and so unusual. It also reminds me a little bit of honeycomb.
The upside-down bows make this set even more special. They are adorable but by no mean cheesy. Really, Avocado’s embroideries are always so gorgeous! My pictures don’t do them honor! The discreet floral details are lovely. Every element of this set screams good quality and it is obvious that the designer worked on every aspect on this set.

I have been lucky enough to receive the Isadora in the RV shape too. Avocado sent me a 60L in this bra and even if it might not be obvious on the pictures, I couldn’t size down.
Let’s say that I have been very surprised by the huge difference of fit between the NF and RV cut.

Although they are based on the same design, the front looks of these bras are extremely different. Isadora RV definitely gives a more rounded and centered shape. But as you can see, it also provides more coverage.
You may have noticed on the NF cut, that the straps are linked to the lower part of the cup. Here they are related to the top part of the cup. I can imagine that these particularities have an impact on the fit and shape. The RV is more full on top friendly which can explain why I get some wrinkles on my smaller breast.

The gore here is almost 2cm taller than the NF gore. Avocado’s gores tend to tack firmly so I personally prefer the lower ones. The RV wires are only slightly wider but I would say that they are wide on both bras. However they are made in a certain way that prevents them from touching your armpits. Note that the straps are also wider on this one, certainly because it’s a bigger size.
From the back these bras are very similar, the bands are firm but not uncomfortable and feature 3 sets of hooks and eyes.
As a coordinate I received the classic briefs which are just so comfy! I already said that I love the texture of these lace and embroidery, but the back of the bra and panty are also made from this black deliciously soft fabric which deserve to be complimented too!
I really love the way it feels and stretches. I mean, this is a very butt friendly panty. It provides a good coverage in a size Small for me. Also I don’t have to worry about VPL because the elastics have a perfect tension.
It is definitely cool to see the lovely asymmetry created by the bow placement. That said, all the coordinates of this range are gorgeous!

In a nutshell, Isadora is another beautiful number! I like the balance between a classic look and some very modern and original details. Also this set is feminine without being girly. I think it could please a lot of women of different ages and I personally love it.

Which one of the Isadora cuts do you prefer? Do you find it interesting to have the same design in different cuts?

Lot of love,

Less is more: Avocado Chamade HC review!

**Avocado sent this set to me free of charge for the purpose of a review, all opinions are my own.**

Since I started being interested in lingerie my favourite shape has always been the “half cup” or “corbeille” in French. Sadly I don’t remember a time when my breasts could fit in this type of bras properly. They are always cut too low for me even if they are made in my size.
I have to say that I usually avoid them to prevent any deception and when I saw that Avocado had released their new collections I thought the Chamade HC would only be available in the smaller sizes. I was extremely surprised to find it in the parcel with the rest of the lingerie because I was so sure I’d receive a RV or NF cut! I was also surprised about the fit!

I originally received the bra in a 60L and the panty in a size Small, however the 60L was way too big for my breasts and Anna was kind enough to send me a 60K, which is now a lovely fit and my most comfy Avocado bra.
As you can see, this bra goes a little bit higher than an usual half cup. For me this is just perfect because my nipples are so high that they never stay hidden by the usual halfcups.
The construction of this bra is amazing. I love this unique seam in the middle of the cup, I love the construction of the back which makes everything so secure, and the fabric is just so great! It should fit different shapes of breasts but I would say that if you are full on bottom you can easily size down in the cup because the fabrics is stretchy and the cup has space at the top.

Note that I am loosing weight for some reasons since this summer and my breasts are now smaller. I am still a 30GG but I definitely think that I am on the smaller side of this size. This bra should fit a breast sightly bigger than mine if your nipples aren’t super high since the fabric is very adaptable. 🙂
That said, this bra perfectly encapsulates my breasts. As usual with Avocado I don’t experience any side boobs effect and the straps have a perfect length so they never fall off my shoulders.
The band also is very stable and I find it stretchier than my other avocado bands although it is still not loose. A 60K in my opinion would be roughly and equivalent to a 28GG-H. Note that Avocado bands are quite firm so they might feel tighter than your usual bands. For me the 60 bands give me a better fit since they also come with narrower wires and I feel really secure with them but this is a personal preference since Avocado bands don’t run big.

I love it when brands pay attention to details even on the band and straps. I think the blue lace in the back really completes the design of this bra! The straps are fully adjustable and wide enough to be comfy. I think this colorway in particular is very discreet. It is very neutral but still pretty and delicate! The light taupe/beige fabric feels comfortable. Although it is not the best tone for my skin it should be nice on lighter skin tones.

I really like the color allotment,if I can say it this way. I find it to be discreetly geometric and this set is for me the expression of a pure elegance without anything to prove. Less is definitely more. The cup shape itself is really minimalist for a full bust garment and it reminds me of a cute water drop from the side.

Although the cups are deep, the wires are wide on me. I find it to be less wide than my RV bras wires but compared to other Polish brands, you will find them to be wide. It is not a real issue for me, though, since my armpits are safe.
Chamade gives a lovely rounded but natural shape. The gore is very narrow which is amazing, since it is kind of high. This way it is still comfortable for my close-set boobs.
As often with Avocado, no bow in the middle, but a lovely branded silvery pendant. The same pendant is featured on the front of the coordinate.

Talking about the coordinate, I received the classic brief which is a perfect everyday panty. It feels soft, provides a nice coverage, and it stays in place the whole day long. I a fan of Avocado bottoms. They are always well-made, comfy and fit great.I don’t know how is made the fabric that they use for the bum part but it feels so nice! I don’t own any panty from other brands that gives me the same sensation. Also they usually have space for the bum and don’t cut in. However, be careful, some styles might fit differently. I have tried four Avocado bottom styles and 3/4 fit me great in a size Small. I needed a size Medium for one of them.
By the way I really admire the efforts of this brand to create different shapes of bottoms and bras for every style and not only 2 bottom and a bra. This way you always have a chance to get a great fit and the style of the bra doesn’t change dramatically from a cut to another even with the bigger sizes.

In a nutshell, I am really happy with this set, it is very romantic and I like to wear it anytime because it is comfy and feeds my desire for delicate lingerie. I wear it when I feel sensitive or when I need some “body makeup”. For me this set feels like a little bit of blush under my clothes. Like a very natural make up just to cheer you up or make you feel confident. Note that if you would like a more dramatic colorway this is also available in black . 🙂

Hope you are ready for this week! 🙂 Stay strong, holidays are in a heart beat!

Maleficent fairy set, Avocado NF Valentina

Hey guys! I am so happy to get back to my lingerie reviews! My life is being actually extremely active and I have a really hard time blogging and taking pictures. The good news is that I found a job so I’ll be able to buy lingerie that I love without being on food restriction (No, it is not the reason why you can see my ribs on the picture below, I actually eat a lot these days, this pic is just weird x)) . Also I realized something this summer, while I was travelling on a budget… It feels way better to spend your money in things you wanted for a long time or things that make your heart beat faster rather than on pretty things that, yes you can afford at the moment but that don’t really make you dream at night.DSC05962_edited_editedl5.jpg

Well, today I am going to review a set that really made me dream and that I have been lucky enough to receive as a gift from Avocado for the purpose of this review! As always all opinions are my very own!

Valentina is a romantic name for a dramatic set. I swear, the first time I saw this set was on Zathiya website and I had this kind of huge crush that makes you think about saving and feel guilty about all the silly expenses that you made lately. I fell in love with her and I hoped deeply that she would love me in return.

So when Anna, the amazing designer of Avocado offered to send me some pieces to review, I couldn’t help myself putting this set on the list. I have to say that it is my favourite set so far… (The competition with my new Aubade babe is hard but Valentina is a winner).
I am not good enough at photography to capture the incredible beauty and quality of the fabrics but they really caught my eyes at the first sight. These lace and embroidery have nothing in common with the rest of my wardrobe. They are pure luxury. For my young person this is really impressive.

I received the bra in a 65K and the (marvelous) high waisted panty in a size Small. These sizes are quite good for me in term of volume but I have to admit that I am torn between my two Avocado sizes. I received some bras in a 60L and while the bands were quite tight at the beginning, I do prefer the wires in these bras which are narrower than the ones in my 65K bras. Also with a little bit of time they fit me perfectly so I think I prefer the feeling of the 60L bras throughout the time. The 65 band feel comfier, though. What a dilemma. 🙂
So as you can see this bra wires look extremely narrow on the flat picture but on me they are definitely wide, which overall is not terribly unpleasant as they don’t bother my armpits** but I don’t really like feeling them so close to my back.

** I recently noticed, after I had to tighten the straps a little bit more, that even if the wires don’t bother me, I feel like the side of the cup is too close from my armpits, which can be a little bit annoying after wearing it for a while. I think a size smaller would resolve this issue.

Also, because they are so wide they tend to go down a little bit and at some point of the day and end up lower than my inframammary fold. Weirdly I only start feeling these issues after like 6-8hours wearing it but it leaves some red marks that I found more pronounced than the usual red marks that I can get from some other bras.
Despite these very wide wires this bra is very deep in the cup (really)! I think it is something I noticed with Avocado NF and RV bras. I actually love that depth and I am glad I have wide roots because then it reduces the wideness issue, but I know some of you might dislike that. My only advice would be to size down in the band ( I don’t have these issues with the 60L bras) to have a chance to get narrower wires but of course this is not always possible.

What I personally like with the NF cut is that it is closer to my natural breasts shape:  pretty projected, very full on bottom, not that much on top so that the cup are quite closed at this part, avoiding wrinkles and other inconveniences which come with boobs asymmetry.
That said, this shape is not giving so much uplift compared to the RV or HCT shapes but in my opinion lingerie is not all about push up effect. 🙂
The band features 3 sets of hooks and eyes and I have to say that the straps are pretty short. It is all that I like, actually. Avocado bras are the only ones with straps that don’t fall off my shoulders at any point. So even if this pair of straps is not fully adjustable due to the design on the front part, I only need to tight them up to the 1/3 of the length (a little bit more for my smaller breast, since there is some room in the cup for it).
The gore is very very narrow (<3) and tacks firmly. It is kind of high but not too much for my taste because in this case I think this gore is an important part of the design! Did you see those details! Incredible details! I mean, nothing common. None of my beloved bows or buttons, and however, nothing is missing here! This gore is so sophisticated !

The choice of the material for this set is simply wonderful. I mean, the fabrics used for the band of the bra is as firm as soft, and so dark. A really rich black.
I have to say that the lace used for the bottom of the cup doesn’t stretch but the one on the top with the beautiful embroidery is more forgiving. Although it is closed at the top, it still has a little elasticity. I think my breasts could grow a little bit and this bra will still fit.
.Seriously, this set makes me feel like the fairy Maleficent. It just has this dark powerful look and the attention to the details is astonishing.

The brief is also one of the more comfy I have ever tried. My butt loves it. It doesn’t try to eat it or anything. This bottom stays miraculously in place and doesn’t itch my sensitive belly skin. I am crazy about them because of the way they match so perfectly the bra. My love for high waisted panties comes from the fact that they give more space to creativity and in my opinion, this pair is completely regal. I am sad that I didn’t find a better way to make them look like they really are on my pictures but the same lace used for the bottom of the cups has been used for the middle part of the panty and the interplay (can I say it this way?) of transparency is gorgeous. It is just the right amount of transluence for this area. About the sizing, I would say that Avocado panties run true to size but the high waisted ones seem to run bigger than the other ones. For me it is pretty cool as I am always asking for more room in the bum area while I have no hips so it comes out complicated with some brands to have it all. This Valentina bottom is just perfect for me. I have zero complaints about it and just want to wear it all the time…

Also, did you see the details on the bottom of the band? Avocado didn’t neglect any aspect of the front part of this bra! Most of the time full bust brands doesn’t put so much attention to the details in the front part of the bands (and yeah I can get that it is already nice to have a good fit ^^ ) so I am glad to see a little difference here!
This set is dreamy and I just want to be able to wear it forever !

Avocado is really one of my favourite brands at the moment because they never disappoint me. It has been so hard to find a luxury brand that provides both luxury detailing and good fitting items for full bust ladies. I mean, I know some very nice luxury brands which go up to a G cup, sometimes H, the only thing is the longevity of their bras. I feel like they are not made for everyday wear. You have to be very careful for their garments don’t stretch too much or stay in the same state despite the weight of your breasts. In this sens I feel like Avocado lingerie always worth the price. I really don’t feel like my bras are going to change quickly with the use. Just like Cleo by Panache bras, they are faithful to their original states but with the luxury lace and construction as a bonus!

Bisous bisous,

Avocado, mi amor… Act 3: Annick in love.

Zathiya generously provided this bra. All thoughts and opinion are mines.

Dear readers, I am a bit late on this post, but here’s the final act of my Avocado drama: Annick in love.
I have to say that the first time I’ve seen this bra, a few years ago, I really wanted to get it in the fushia colorway. I found it adorable and unusual. Thanks to Aisha, the owner of Zathiya, I’ve been able to try out this bra last month, and I have to say that finally, the green is definitely my favourite of the two colorways. I haven’t seen a lot of green in lingerie but everytime it made the pieces very original and fun. The Annick in love is no exception.
I don’t know why but this bra makes me think of strawberries picking. I used to do that as a kid with my family and the green ruffled detail on the top of the cup reminds me of the green of nature, while the red on the central bow, and the little dots on the lace reminds me of the skin of a strawberry. I know my imagination is way too fruitful… But that’s my feeling about the appearance of this bra.

Annick in love is a three part sheer balconnet. I received this bra in a 60L and to make a comparison with the Lorca , it has no stretch in the lace of the cups, but they are really deep. From the front, I really like the horizontal look of this bra, I think it is really cute and young, but I have to admit that while it really uplifts your breast, it also gives a slighty pointy shape, that you can like/accept, or not. With the shape of my breasts that was not awful and I could deal with it, but I suspect that some of you wouldn’t appreciate that.
The transparency of the cup makes this bra really attractive to me. In these pics, it looks really transparent because of the light and the white patches on my nipples but in person it is a discreet transparency. It didn’t make me feel naked.

Hello, morning face! x)

The central gore is quite narrow and I found it more comfortable than the Lorca’s gore as it is lower and tacks less hard on my sternum. It is a regular length for a balconnet gore but as the top of the cup seems to be more horizontal than an usual balconnet bra, the gore can look high.
I am very fond of this horizontal look! This bra is an Avocado NF cut, for you info.
The wires, however, are very wide. In the last picture of the review you can see that they are way wider than my roots. I am ok with that since they don’t bother my armpit and don’t hurt me, plus, strangely this wideness doesn’t affect the projection given to the breasts! Oh and I don’t get any side boobs with this bra ( that can happen to me even when a bra is the appropriate size due to my full on side breasts :/ ): yeeah!

Once again, I think Avocado bras have really short straps and it is something I appreciate. These straps are wide but just enough to be comfy and stay in place. The band is wide too and features 3 sets of three hooks and eyes. With this bra, the 60 band was the right size for my 28″ rib cage. It was not as tight as the Essentia band in a 60K even if it was firmer than the Lorca band in a 65K. I like Avocado bands and straps. I think their bras are some of the more secure I’ve tried. They provide coverage and support but in a very elegant way!
I never get to try their coordinates but I think they worth it. For real, if I buy from them I think I can’t give up on the panties. They look so elegant too! In my opinion, a lot of Avocado sets are basically jewelry adornments. I like the simplicity of this one, though.

Overall my experience of Avocado is pretty good and I just need more of their lingerie  in my life! This brand reinforces the idea that details and quality make a big difference. Their bras are around 66 euros most of the time and the briefs around 22 euros, and I think it is a fair price for this quality. I am still really impressed and definitely in love with their products.
Zathyia just started to carry some of their awesome ranges! Currently she sells the Valentina , the Orlando , the Essentia that I reviewed before, and the amazing Nina . I am personally in love with everything but the Nina and the Valentina look like pure luxury…

It’s Friday, right? Enjoy! Hope you have a good weekend! 😀 ❤

Avocado, mi amor… Act 2: The Essentia

Well, today an other act of my Polish drama… I feel in the mood for being myself and nothing else and this mood goes well with nude lingerie. So here is my review of the Essentia, one of the most dainty bra I had the chance to touch and see. Unfortunately this play won’t have a happy ending but love has up and down. I deal with it.

***Zathiya generously provided this bra. All opinions are my own***

I received this bra in a 60K and the band was definitely too small for me. I am not used to 28/60 band but the thing is that I had the opportunity to try an other bra from Avocado with a 60 band and it fitted me just well. So I think this one is just on the small side because of the firmness of the fabric. For comparison the band of the Lorca is way more stretchy without being loose. To be honest both the band and the cup have firm fabrics so if you are in between size that could be an issue. For my asymmetric chest the 60K wasn’t a winning fit. My left boob was squeezed into the cup and I would have to stay motionless to wear it without getting any quadboobs.

I didn’t receive the matching bottom, this is an old Wacoal shorty

The thing that first caught my eyes with this bra was the goldish embroidery. It makes my eyes shine so brightly! For real, the first days after I received it, I couldn’t help looking at this bra. I find it so delicate! The details are wonderful, the shape it gives to my breasts even being too small is lovely and I have to say that the color fits my skin tone even more beautifully than my Kusidelko what was very surprising at first because when I looked at myself in the mirror it was almost like wearing nothing. Also the description of the brand as a “Plunging demi-cup style with fantastic uplift” is in my opinion pretty accurate. The look it gives to the breasts is incredible. It’s hard to see what I mean with my pictures but it uplifts them in a super natural way.

As you can see in the picture above, the wires don’t sit properly into my infra-mammary fold (it is more noticeable with my smallest breast), but in an other hand, they are the perfect wideness for my roots on the sides. I think that if I could try a cup size (or a band size up) they would have been just perfect for me. They are also very comfortable. I am really thinking about buying a 65K.
Just as with the Lorca, I have been positively surprised by the length of the straps! They are perfectly situated on my shoulders and don’t slip off at any time. Well, I have only worn this bra for the shooting but it took me a long time to get decent pictures so I can tell you that they don’t move.

I love the little key on the central gore! And I know I am always saying that but there I am astonished! It is the most sophisticated nude bra I have ever seen. For once, sophistication goes with comfort and shape! I would like to see this bra in different shades of beige and brown. Maybe it is not made for every breast shape (for example, if you’re very full on top I am not sure that this bra is for you because it is very closed at the top with no stretch) but if it suits you, I think it worth the price.
The band is wide and secure but it would have been more comfortable in my size, I think.
At the end I didn’t keep this bra but if I buy it in my size, I’ll update this review to let you know how it fits.

As I said in the Lorca review I am pretty in love with the aesthetics of this brand! Now I am lusting after the Chamade, the Calypso and the Valentina  (maybe also the Amber but I feel like  I have an obsession for nude). I really don’t know where I will find the money for all those crushes!
I have been talking with Aisha, the owner of Zathiya and she told me that they will sell very soon the Essentia and some other Avocado bras (the other are gorgeous to die for but I want you to be surprised so I won’t say more about them!). So I am super happy to know that there will be more possibilities for Polish bras lovers of North America in a near future!

Hope you have an anxiety-free week and that the sun shines for you (here the weather is weird, and it’s like the sun is on strike…)!

PS: This bras was a  K cut.
