Something I like with lingerie is that everything you can dream about eventually happens. I mean, when I was a teen, (which was only 5 years ago) I could never imagine a bralette that would fit me, let alone make me feel good about my breasts. Just like every body I tried Calvin Klein bralettes, which might eventually look sexy for a few times but really aren’t made for fullbust/small backs so obviously tend to stretch out a lot. And as a stubborn person I tried other bralettes from other big brands which all ended the same way.
And then I discovered indies lingerie brands. From that point I mostly only trusted made-to-measurements bralettes featuring hooks and eyes. Apparently I am not the only one since the industry came up with new bralette options this year!
You must have heard of Bluebella More range since Sweet Nothings, Le Salon de Frivolité and A Tale of two boobs among other bloggers have reviewed some of their styles. Well, next year, they will offer even more fashion options for bigger busts! On these first three pictures you can see their Artemis full-bust bralette.
While this bralette will not be bra sized, it was made with the More size range in mind (32 to 38 DD to G cup). The size will go from S to XL with the S being comparable to a 32E/F and M being comparable to a 34F according to Bluebella’s PR. I am deeply hoping that I will still fit into the Medium.
While bralettes are supposed to be wireless, I thought the Gossard Sport Lux bra could be put into this post as it has the appearance of a fashion and supportive longline bralette. I really like that Gossard extented their size range for this style. Usually the brand goes up to an E cup for this kind of bras but next year they’ll be available from a 32 to a 38 band with cups from B to G. I really like this racer back!
Tramonte in an Italian brand that I discovered at Curve this Summer. Their garments are designed and made in Italy in a 100% solar-powered facility. Their lace is Italian as well.
Tramonte is specialized in loungewear and everything comfy. Something I liked with this brand was their super wide range of colorways for most of their garments. Here is their Ivana lace bralette, which comes in four colorways : white, black, beige and navy. This is funny, since some other pieces come in more than 20 different colorways. Ivana also comes in 3 sizes: 2,3,4 which would be S-M-L. This is not a very wide range but I think it might be worth a try to see how it fits fuller busts. This lace was super soft and stretchy. (Yeah, I am basically trying every bralette that crosses my way x) )
Here is a sweet little satin and lace bralette from Lepel/Audelle! It is called Caitlin and comes in UK size 6 to 14. I am unsure if this would fit fuller busts but it features 3 sets of 2 hooks and eyes and has adjustable staps, which are interesting elements.
After Freya Fancies bralettes, here is a new fullbust bralette that is supposed to fit the whole Freya size range. I forgot its name, but I like that is features hooks and eyes at the back! I am very curious about the fit of this piece since triangle bras aren’t known for being the best fit for fullbust women. This piece is really cute and delicate, with its triangle charme and modern grey “bow”. I hope I can put my hands on it when it gets released!
Here is its black version! I like this geometric yet floral design. It feels very young and the colour is so cute! If the fit is great as well, it would be very refreshing for many fullbust drawers!
Here is Parfait Adriana, a bra sized bralette made for fullbusted women from D to G cup with band from 30 to 40! This style is unlined and will come in black, white and sky blue.
This collection also offers babydolls in the same size range.
As you can see, this style is really structured. It seems to provide a great shape and has adjustable straps and side boning. The straps and band are actually wide enough to be comfortable and supportive.
I think the only way a bralette could last without stretching out too much is to feature the same back as a usual bra. I am so glad fullbust lingerie brands understood that!
You might know Panache Andorra bra, well here its non wired version! This non wired bra has a very nice construction and seems quite secure while being very feminine and delicate. It also seems to be very comfy and offer a full coverage. It will be available in a very generous size range, perhaps the widest I have come across so far : 30-40 bands and cups from D to H. It will be available in 5 colorways : Soft Blush (like the one on the pictures), Coral, Black, Pearl and white.
Here is Cleo Lyzy, a bra sized bralette with bands from 28 to 38 and cups from UK D to H! I love the wide elastic of the band. I think a thinner one would not be super comfortable as bralette bands tend to roll under the breasts. Once again, this triangle shape. Also, the coordinate has a new shape for Cleo. It is a very scalloped tanga brief.
Now I am excited to introduce Sugar Candy! I discovered the company literally the day before I met it at Curve. Amber from Scarlet letter posted about it on twitter and I got to see their promotional video. Well, I must say that they didn’t lie about its efficiency! The Sugar Candy bralette is available in a size range starting with bands from 30 to 40 and cups from F to HH.
It is available in a non-nursing version as well as the one I photographed. Look at these six sets of 3 and even 4 hooks and eyes! The structure of this bralette is meant to give the same feeling of separation and security as a wired bra. I received it in a size Small two days ago and I am already conquered! I’ve actually worn it outside, and forgot about it. The shape under my dress was similar to what I’d get with a bra, and it was super comfortable. I want several of these bralettes. They are amazing! Review to come!
Mayana Genevière is a Canadian brand born in Toronto. Their lingerie is still designed and made in Canada. I first discovered it on Instagram because of their parallel sizing concept. Actually their bralettes are sized as S to 3XL but they introduced a new size, the MII which is made for fullbusted ladies with a smaller back and should fit the sizes 36E, 34F, 36F 34G, 32H and 34H.
When I talked with the founder, she told me that a size SII will be introduced in the future, which I think should fit 30 to 32 backs from E to H cup. Note that the brand doesn’t use double letters after DD cups.
Their garments are very feminine and the use of a very soft stretch lace makes me think that they must be very comfortable. I hope I can try some of their garments at some point. They also offer bodysuits, babydolls and nursing bras.
Update: I can’t believe I forgot about it when I first wrote this post!
Silent Arrow is an indie Australian brand which makes affordable and super cute lingerie! I discovered them on Instagram because of their F.U collection which was featured by plenty of Australian models and bloggers. This babe is available in cup A to G. The brand also has a little full-bust collection which includes wired bras up to a G cup. I’ll probably talk about it later! Anyway, I really liked the designer’s energy and her lingerie is so much fun!
And then there is Impish Lee, a brand that you probably already know for their super customizable products! Impishlee size range goes from UK A to GG cups with bands from 28 to 40.
They offer different shapes of bralettes but they also offer loungewear and wired bras. The amount of different colors, fabrics, and cuts possibilities is overwhelming.
I am personally happy to see all those new options but what do you guys think about them? What are you looking for in a bralette? Prettiness or comfort? I personally look for both but I think we can’t obviously expect a bralette to be a wired bra. Knowing that, do you feel comfortable going outside the house with a bralette? Let me know your thoughts in the comments! ❤
